After my first Nolcha show during Art Week 2023, I wanted to decompress. I dropped off my gear, hit the streets, kicked off my shoes, and let the shoreline pull me in. The waves crashed against my feet, the moon hung above, and for a moment, there was nothing to explain—just the feeling of being here, now. I kept walking, eventually reaching the tip of Miami Beach. That’s when I saw it—a building from an angle most people never notice, standing there like it had a secret. I took the shot.
A few days later, I was wandering through Miami Beach when I spotted a Buddha tucked down an alley—still, steady, unfazed. I snapped the photo without thinking. But later, as I processed the images, it hit me. The Buddha belonged above the city, rising but rooted, floating but grounded. Buddha in Miami became a glitch between movement and stillness, between the noise of the world and the clarity within.
